Celluloid Dreams to produce 'Hello Darkness'

May 16, 2008 Celluloid Dreams will sink its teeth into vampire comedy "Hello Darkness," set to begin shooting this fall. The film marks Celluloid Dreams' second U.K. production after the boxoffice success of "Son of Rambow" ($9 million in the U.K.) in a strategy to produce local films with a strong international potential, Celluloid's Hengameh Panahi said. The film is "a genre-bending, kitchen-sink vampire movie" according to producers, who are hoping to follow up Glatzer and Westmoreland's Sundance Grand Jury Prize and Independent Spirit Award in 2006 with a bloody hit.
