Anchor Bay lands on 'Banks'


October 10, 2007 Anchor Bay Entertainment has acquired North American theatrical and DVD rights to Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst's directorial debut, "The Education of Charlie Banks." The coming-of-age drama stars Jesse Eisenberg as the title character, a high school student who witnesses a local bully (Jason Ritter) savagely beating two teens at a party. The deal was negotiated by Anchor Bay's Mark Ward and Bill Clark with Machine Management's Jon Sheinberg for Strongheart Pictures.
