TV networks still testing new production cycles More television series than ever are staying in continuous production after wrapping their current seasons or starting production on their next season's orders early this year. At the same time many pilots for new shows have yet to be shot. All of this follows the writers strike, which brought production to a halt for two months during the middle of the shooting cycle.
