Independent production and distribution house Unified Pictures said
Tuesday it has set up an in-house international sales arm that will
package, develop and produce films as well as finance and
distribute projects for worldwide sales.
"This is a natural growth initiative for us," company founder and president Keith Kjarval said. Kjarval has recruited as a consultant industry vet Ann Dubinet, who will handle the international sales arm's debut at the European Film Market in Berlin. Unified's offerings in Berlin include the "revenge noir" film "The Perfect Sleep," starring Roselyn Sanchez; the dramedy "Bob Funk," starring Rachael Lee Cook; and the thriller "XII," starring Mercedes McNab.
