Paul Newman tribute set for Downtown festScreenings of 'Butch Cassidy,' 'Hud' on Aug. 13July 2, 2009, 04:47 PM ET
The Downtown Film Festival-Los Angeles, which runs from Aug. 12-22,
will pay tribute to Paul Newman on Aug. 13 with free public
screenings of "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" and "Hud" at the
outdoor plaza at 7th and Figueroa Streets.
Cloris Leachman, who played Agnes in "Butch," is scheduled to make an appearance at the screening of the film. Earlier in the evening, beginning at 6 p.m., there will be an indoor screening of John Huston's "The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean," in which Newman starred.
