Patricia Clarkson will be honored with a ShoWest Independent Award for acting excellence at the annual exhibition confab.

Clarkson will be feted at a luncheon set for April 2, the final day of the event. ShoWest opens March 30 at the Bally's and Paris hotels in Las Vegas.

"With a diverse resume that includes work on stage, television and the big screen, Patricia Clarkson's work has earned her great accolades and success around the world," ShoWest co-managing director Mitch Neuhauser said.

Clarkson next appears on the big screen in Woody Allen's "Whatever Works," which Sony Pictures Classics will open June 19. She also will appear in Martin Scorsese's "Shutter Island," scheduled for release on Oct. 2 by Paramount, and in Ruba Nadda's "Cairo Time."

Clarkson made her film debut in 1987 in Brian De Palma's "The Untouchables." Her TV credits include a recurring role on HBO's "Six Feet Under."
