Clarkson next appears on the big screen in Woody Allen's "Whatever Works," which Sony Pictures Classics will open June 19. She also will appear in Martin Scorsese's "Shutter Island," scheduled for release on Oct. 2 by Paramount, and in Ruba Nadda's "Cairo Time." Clarkson made her film debut in 1987 in Brian De Palma's "The Untouchables." Her TV credits include a recurring role on HBO's "Six Feet Under." Patricia Clarkson will be honored with a ShoWest Independent Award for acting excellence at the annual exhibition confab.
