Gil Netter ("Marley & Me") will produce the film along with Alcon's Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove. Alcon is also financing.

Based on the best-selling novel by Michael Lewis, "The Blind Side: Evolution of the Game," "Blindside" tells the true story of football player Michael Oher, who is projected to be one of the first players selected in this year's NFL draft.
