'Bobism' at the new MGM


April 10, 2008 Making its first comedy acquisition under new chairman Mary Parent and the first acquisition involving newly hired executive vp production Cale Boyter, MGM has picked up Ben Wexler's comedy spec "Bobism." Producing are Contrafilm's Tripp Vinson and Beau Flynn. "Ben Wexler found a way to cleverly combine comedy, action and sci-fi genres and play them real," Vinson said.
