Josh Klausner as been tapped to adapt Adena Halpern's novel "The
Ten Best Days of My Life," which Fox is developing as a starring
vehicle for Amy Adams and possible directing vehicle for Shawn
Levy.
The book centers on a woman who dies and goes to the top of the afterlife echelon -- called, what else, Seventh Heaven -- but is in danger of being demoted to a lower level unless she can prove having lived a worthwhile life by recounting her 10 best days. The novel was published in May 2008 by Penguin, and Fox picked up rights that year. Adams is making her debut as a producer on the project. Levy is producing via his 21 Laps banner. Klausner worked as a second unit director on several Farrelly brothers comedies before moving into writing. He penned Fox's upcoming "Date Night," which Levy directed, and co-wrote the DreamWorks Animation sequel "Shrek Forever After." The ICM-repped Klausner also is working on a script based on Thomas the Tank Engine. Scribe to relive his 'Ten Best Days'Josh Klausner adapting novel for Amy Adams to star inNov 18, 2009, 11:00 PM ET
