Oscar nominee Tom Wilkinson is in negotiations to reteam with his "Michael Clayton" director Tony Gilroy for Universal's corporate thriller "Duplicity."

Billy Bob Thornton also is joining the cast, which is headlined by Clive Owen and Julia Roberts.

The script, which Gilroy wrote, revolves around Roberts and Owen, who are longtime lovers and rival corporate spies who team to pull off an elaborate con.

Wilkinson will play a CEO of a large firm. Thornton is set as a more maverick type of CEO.

The movie is set to shoot in March and April in New York.

Laura Bickford and Jennifer Fox are producing. Uni executive Dylan Clark is overseeing for the studio.

Wilkinson scored a supporting acting Oscar nom for his performance in "Clayton." The movie also netted Gilroy noms for original screenplay and directing. Wilkinson is repped by Principal Entertainment and Lou Coulson Associates in the U.K.

Thornton, repped by CAA and Media Talent, is shooting "Eagle Eye" for Paramount and recently wrapped "The Informers," an adaptation of the Bret Easton Ellis novel.
