Sound designer and sound editor Ben Burtt, who created the voice of
R2D2 in "Star Wars" and that of the title character in "WALL-E,"
will receive the Career Achievement Award at the 56th annual Motion
Picture Sound Editors' Golden Reel Awards on Feb. 21 at the Westin
Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles.
