LONDON -- Fresh from completing a U.K. arena tour in support of its latest studio set "21st Century Breakdown" (Reprise/Warner Bros.), Green Day has announced two U.K. stadium shows to be held next summer.

The Californian three-piece will play Manchester Lancashire County Cricket Ground on June 16 and London's Wembley Stadium three days later on June 19 -- the band's first appearance at the venue. Green Day will also play Paris' Parc des Princes on June 26. SJM is the promoter.

The Manchester and London dates will be the band's first U.K. stadium-sized shows since its two-night stand at Milton Keynes National Bowl in 2005, documented on the band's live album "Bullet In A Bible" (Reprise/Warner Bros.).

Tickets for the U.K. shows go on sale at 9am GMT on Friday with prices beginning at £39.50 ($64.60). Tickets can be purchased from www.gigsandtours.com, www.ticketmaster.co.uk and www.ticketline.co.uk.
