Top reality producer Mark Burnett is venturing into TV animation.

His Mark Burnett Prods. has inked a deal with popular online animation Web site Liquid Generation to develop and produce cartoon TV comedies -- both original and based on existing Liquid Generation content.

Under the pact, Mark Burnett Prods. will produce Liquid Generation's first three TV projects, including originals "Witness Protection" and "Rapper in Chief." It also will consult Liquid Generation's efforts to take their existing content from online to television.

"Given Liquid Generation's status as a cutting-edge content company and our own track record of generating breakout programs for television and new media, an alignment only makes sense," Burnett said.

Added Liquid Generation president Bruce Freud, "Together we plan to create the next generation of animated TV comedies."
