RNL to Design Xcel Energy's Regional Denver HeadquartersSept 30, 2008, 09:00 AM ET
RNL is pleased to announce it has been selected to provide interior
architecture design services for Xcel Energy's new 340,000-sq.- ft.
regional headquarters to be located in the new 1800 Larimer Street
office tower in Denver, C.O.. The space will be designed to
meet LEED-CI at the platinum level. The new regional headquarters
will consolidate Xcel Energy employees from three separate existing
locations in the Denver metro area.
"The selection of RNL for our interior design is in keeping with Xcel Energy's goal to demonstrate its environmental leadership in Colorado and throughout the nation," says Noel Mattison, Xcel Energy's project director for 1800 Larimer. "Our new, regional location will be the benchmark for future office buildings in Colorado and the region." "RNL is excited to add another major LEED project to its list of sustainably-designed projects," says Josh Gould, AIA, LEED AP, chairman and CEO of RNL. "In fact, we are finding that designing to the minimum level, LEED certified, has become the baseline for the vast majority of ground-up projects. Xcel Energy's commitment to pursue LEED platinum shows they are serious about conserving energy, that they care about the well-being of their employees, and are committed to being a national leader in renewable energy and environmental stewardship," adds Gould. Construction of the 22-story 1800 Larimer Street office tower is underway by M.A. Mortenson, and has an estimated completion date in the spring of 2010. Design for the Xcel Energy tenant finish is underway with an expected move-in date when the tower is complete. RNL to Design Xcel Energy's Regional Denver HeadquartersSept 30, 2008, 09:00 AM ET
