Jennie Garth departs 'Girl'

April 15, 2008 Kristin Booth has been tapped to replace Garth as the female lead in "Girl," while Jerry O'Connell has signed on to star opposite Niecy Nash in the Fox comedy pilot "The Inn." Meanwhile, it had been reported that Rob Thomas, who penned the script for CW's upcoming "90210" spinoff, has been looking to potentially recruit "90210" alumna Garth to reprise her role as Kelly Taylor from the original series in the spinoff, possibly returning to her alma mater as a fashion design teacher. "Inn," from 20th TV, Reveille and Principato-Young, is a multicamera comedy described as "Upstairs/Downstairs" set at a hip New York hotel.
