The Hollywood Reporter launches data service


September 04, 2008 The business unit will service the growing demand for tailored data collection and extrapolation, drawing upon parent company Nielsen to provide proprietary, quantitative and qualitative data to its clients. "THR recognizes the global need for customized and actionable market information for companies and government organizations around the globe to guide them through the complexity of today's media and entertainment business," said Eric Mika, publisher of The Reporter. At Nielsen, he managed domestic and international film market research projects for Hollywood studios and participated in such projects as the firm's China movie market research and a worldwide mobile game study.
