'Suite Life on Deck' renewed for third season

Disney Channel comedy ranks No. 1 among kids 6-11

Disney Channel has renewed "The Suite Life on Deck" for a third season.

Production on the comedy will resume in Hollywood in early 2010.

"Suite Life" stars Dylan Sprouse and Cole Sprouse as identical twins Zack and Cody Martin who spend a semester at sea with hotel heiress London Tipton (Brenda Song) aboard the luxurious SS Tipton.

Year-to-date, the show ranks No.1 among kids 6-11 and posted series highs in total viewers (6.8 million) earlier this month.

Pamela Eells O'Connell and Irene Dreayer are exec producing.

Meanwhile, Disney XD said its new comedy series "I'm in the Band" will have a special preview Nov. 27, following the debut of the original sci-fi movie "Skyrunners."
