Bacardi Confirms Groove Armada Release

By Andre Paine, London

Jan 6, 2009, ET

Rum brand Bacardi has confirmed a four-track release from U.K. dance act Groove Armada.

Bacardi and Groove Armada agreed a partnership in April 2008 for the act to work with the company on touring, recording and producing the global events marketing program Bacardi B-Live and B-Live radio shows.

A four-track release is set to be issued on Bacardi B-Live Records. No date is yet confirmed.

"The relationship with Bacardi has taken us all over the world and seen us perform in some jaw-dropping locations," said Groove Armada's Tom Findlay in a statement. "However, what sets our unique relationship apart is the music we're producing, so we're especially excited to be in the final stages of the mini-album and ready to see the impact a band and brand collaboration will have on both our fans and the music industry."

Full details of the album's collaborators and the global distribution and business model will be announced at Midem, the international music market and conference, in Cannes on Jan. 20.
