NBC greenlights 'Office' spinoff


April 02, 2008 NBC is expected to make the announcement at its upfront news conference Wednesday. The project has been ordered to series and will launch after NBC's broadcast of the Super Bowl on Feb. 1. According to news reports in the fall, NBC had been developing an episode of the hit comedy to serve as a backdoor pilot for a spinoff.
