Pellicano case heads to jury
April 28, 2008 After more than 30 days, at least three mistrial hearings and testimony from A-listers and others further down the chain, jurors in the federal government's wiretapping and racketeering trial against Hollywood private eye Anthony Pellicano will get the case this week. The prosecution will be up first to argue to the jury that evidence proves Pellicano and four co-defendants are guilty of being part of a criminal ring that used wiretapping as a way to spy on foes. The trial's witness list included a who's who of Hollywood, including Garry Shandling, Brad Grey, Michael Ovitz and Chris Rock.
