Kimmel follows suit on late-night return


December 19, 2007 A day after NBC hosts Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien said they'd go back to work Jan. 2, ABC late-night host Jimmy Kimmel is doing the same. "Though it makes me sick to do so without my writers, there are more than 100 people whose financial well-being depends on our show," Kimmel said in a statement. With Kimmel's return, that leaves CBS late-night hosts David Letterman and Craig Ferguson as well as Comedy Central's Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert who remain out.
