NBC fall season shows off iTunes

September 01, 2007 Apple Inc. said it will not be selling NBC Universal shows on iTunes for the upcoming TV season after the companies failed to renew their two-year contract. In a statement issued Friday, Apple said that the deal, set to expire in early December, fell apart after it "declined to pay more than double the wholesale price" for each episode of NBC Uni shows, which include NBC's "The Office" and Sci Fi Channel's "Battlestar Galactica." An NBC Uni spokesman disagreed with that assertion, saying that the company "never asked to double the wholesale price for our TV shows."
