Harold Perrineau is staying on at ABC.

On the heels of his exit from the network's hit drama "Lost," Perrineau has joined ABC's one-hour pilot presentation "The Unusuals."

"The Unusuals," from Sony TV, is a dramedy set at a New York police precinct.

Perrineau will play Det. Leo Banks who is always agitated and never takes off his Kevlar vest as he worries that he might die.

After leaving "Lost" in the second season, Perrineau made a much-talked about return this spring that culminated with the heroic death of his character Michael in the season finale last week.

Perrineau, who next stars in the Sony prison drama "Felon," is repped by APA.
