Weinstein flashes on 'Step Stomp' spec


February 07, 2007 The Weinstein Co. has won the contest for "Dirty Step Stomp," a spec script by Steve Basilone and Annie Mebane that spoofs dance movies. Chris Bender, Mason Novick, JC Spink will serve as producers. Andrew Mallett, the assistant to Benderspink partner Jill McElroy, suggested that a couple of his writer friends could pen the spec.
