Amanda Bynes is leaving CAA


August 04, 2008 The actress, who had been repped by Jason Heyman, departed the agency over the weekend and is currently taking meetings with a number of the majors. The now-twentysomething Bynes had leading roles in 2006's gender-bending high-school comedy "She's the Man" for Dreamworks and Warners' 2003 election comedy "What a Girl Wants;" she had a supporting role in New Line's "Hairspray" last summer. Emile Hirsch, Ben Stiller Miley Cyrus and Paul Thomas Anderson were among those who departed their respective agencies.
