John Leguizamo's 'Shoes' walks to IFC


August 21, 2008 IFC Films has acquired North American rights to the John Leguizamo-toplined drama "Where God Left His Shoes" from Paul Allen's Vulcan Prods. Salvatore Stabile's sophomore film revolves around an ex-boxer (Leguizamo) and his wife (Leonor Varela) who are forced to move their family to a homeless shelter. On Christmas Eve, the father takes his 10-year-old stepson on a journey around New York to find a job qualifying them for a housing project apartment.
