Senators introduce IPR bill
July 24, 2008 A group of senators introduced a bipartisan bill in the U.S. Senate on Thursday that would empower the U.S. Attorney General to bring civil actions against copyright violators. "It's great to see bipartisan collaboration in the Senate on an issue that is so important, not only to the motion picture industry, which employs 1.3 million American workers and generates $30.25 billion in U.S. wages annually, but to our nation's economy," Glickman said. With its solid protections for intellectual property, this important legislation will help strengthen our economy and generate more American jobs.
