Comedy Central has handed a pilot order to "Boys and Girls Guide to Getting Down."

Based on Paul Sapiano's 2006 indie feature, the half-hour pilot is described as a how-to guide for twentysomethings living in the city.

Executive produced by Sapiano, John Lynch and Luke Greenfield and directed by Greenfield, the show will chronicle the adventures of several young characters, with the narrator giving tips about "getting down."

The project was announced as part of Comedy Central's 2009-10 slate in May as in development.

"Getting Down" is one of several pilots ordered by the cable network this year, including a Ron White show featuring in-studio and man-on-the-street segments; a sketch-variety show from Andy Dick; "Ghosts/Aliens," about two friends' quest to expose the truth about ghosts and aliens; "Midwest Teen Sex Show," an "instructional" sex sketch show; "The Fuzz," a procedural cop series set in a corrupt city where humans and puppets co-exist; and "Workaholics," based on the Web series.
