NBC's live competition series "Phenomenon" is set to premiere Oct.
24. The show, featuring illusionist Criss Angel and mentalist Uri
Geller, centers on the search for the next great mentalist.
The show will air its five-week run at 8 p.m. Wednesdays with a special two-hour live episode on Halloween at 8 p.m. Oct. 31. "To be able to showcase the unique talents of this stunning and mysterious genre on live television, where absolutely anything can happen, ups the ante enormously," said Craig Plestis, executive vp alternative programming, development and specials at NBC Entertainment. The winner, to be decided by viewers, will take home a grand prize of $250,000.
