'Ugliest' sits pretty as a WE tv series

WE tv is entering the design makeover genre with "Ugliest House on the Block."

The six-episode, one-hour series revolves around neighbors and a team of experts fixing up within four days a home on their block that is in serious need of a makeover.

The series, hosted by Chris Leary (TechTV's "Fresh Gear"), features home-improvement expert Leslie Segrete (TLC's "Trading Spaces"), James Lunday and landscaper Michael "Red" Baron.

"Home decorating and design is a genre that has mass appeal for women, and we look forward to adding 'Ugliest House' to our ever-growing slate of original, fun and engaging series," said Kim Martin, executive vp and GM at WE tv.

"Ugliest House," produced by from North South Prods., inlcudes eco-friendly segments on ways to incorporate "green" products for home use and design.

The series is slated to launch next month.
