CBS has picked up its annual Jerry Bruckheimer pilot. This time, it's a medical drama.

"Miami Trauma," from Warner Bros. TV and Bruckheimer TV, is set in Miami and focuses on a team of trauma surgeons who race against the clock to save critically injured patients.

Jeffrey Lieber ("Family Practice") wrote the script and is exec producing with Bruckheimer and Jonathan Littman. KristieAnne Reed will serve as a co-exec producer.

Bruckheimer is CBS' top supplier with seven series: reality competition "The Amazing Race," crime procedurals "CSI" and its two spinoffs, "Cold Case" and "Without a Trace" and science/medical mystery freshman "Eleventh Hour."

The pilot marks the second Bruckheimer project set in Miami, along with "CSI: Miami."
