'Adams' family grows

James Van Der Beek, David Denman set for Fox pilot

By Nellie Andreeva

Nov 6, 2008, 12:00 AM ET

James Van Der Beek and David Denman have been tapped to co-star on Fox's pilot "Eva Adams."

The hourlong project, from writer/executive producer Kevin Falls and Sony TV, is set at a sports agency and centers on Adam, an egotistic sexist agent who, under a witch's spell, turns into a beautiful woman so he can endure the harassment he's been dishing out.

Van Der Beek will play Connor, a former frat boy who is a good friend of Adam's and an agent at the firm. Denman will play another agent, Paul, a single dad reeling from a devastating divorce.

Van Der Beek, who next appears on "One Tree Hill," is repped by Paradigm and Brillstein Entertainment.

"The Office" alum Denman returned to the Emmy-winning NBC comedy for a guest stint last month, reprising his role as Pam's ex-fiance, Roy. His recent feature credits include "Shutter" and the upcoming "Fanboys."

Denman, managed by Hofflund/Polone, recently signed with UTA.
