Tambor saluting 'Captain'

March 08, 2007 Jeffrey Tambor has joined CBS' comedy pilot "The Captain," Michelle Trachtenberg is set as the female lead in ABC's untitled D.C. comedy pilot, and Kal Penn has been tapped to star in ABC's comedy pilot "The Call." Additionally, Nick D'Agosto and Erick Avari will co-star in CBS' comedy pilot "The Rich Inner Life of Penelope Cloud," Stephen Moyer has landed the lead in Fox's drama pilot "NSA Innocent," Alex O'Laughlin and Shannon Lucio are set to star in CBS' drama pilot "Twilight," Bill Burr has landed a lead in Fox's comedy pilot "Playing Chicken," Emmy winner Hector Elizondo has joined CBS' untitled Cynthia Cidre drama pilot, Mia Maestro has come aboard CBS' drama pilot "The Man," and Adam Goldberg is set to co-star in ABC's drama pilot "Marlowe."   "Captain," from CBS Par TV, centers on a young writer (Fran Kranz) who moves into a legendary Hollywood apartment building.
