Mediacom narrows Q1 loss

Cable TV system operator Mediacom Communications reported a narrower than expected quarterly loss, helped by an increase in revenue from video and high-speed data.

The first-quarter net loss more than doubled to $30.6 million, and revenue increased 10.3% to $339.7 million.
