CW network ad sales chief Bill Morningstar is about to suit up for a new team, the MLB Channel.

The CW and WB Network veteran will head ad sales for the channel. He's the second big hire for the MLB network, with CBS Sports executive vp Tony Pettiti coming aboard as its president in April.

Morningstar is expected to report to Pettiti. It wasn't clear who will replace Morningstar at the CW.

Morningstar was in charge of ad sales for the CW since its inception and before that worked at the WB prior to its 1994 launch.
