The "Twin Peaks"-esque "Happy Town" is set at a small town grappling with a murder -- its first crime in seven years -- and centers on Tommy (Stults), the town's newly appointed sheriff who has to solve the case. The project marks a reunion for "October Road" co-star Stults and creators Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec and Scott Rosenberg, who penned "Happy Town." Gary Fleder, who helmed the pilot for "October Road," also is back to direct "Happy Town." ABC's "Box" is set in a Washington network news bureau and centers on Catherine, an ambitious female news producer, and her colleagues pursuing "the story" at all costs while juggling their personal animosities and crises of conscience. Like "Grey's" and "Practice," "Box" is an ensemble built around a professional woman (think Ellen Pompeo, Kate Walsh) and her on-again-off-again relationship with a handsome male co-worker (a la Patrick Dempsey, Tim Daly). Henderson will play that male heartthrob on "Box," named Jake. Jake is Catherine's right hand -- charismatic, with a great sense of humor and great chemistry with her. For the New Zealand-born Henderson, this is the second time playing the male lead of an ABC drama pilot. In 2007, he played John Smith in the network's TV adaptation of "Mr. and Mrs. Smith." Geoff Stults has landed the lead in the ABC drama pilot "Happy Town," while Martin Henderson is the first actor to get "Inside the Box," ABC's drama pilot from "Grey's Anatomy" and "Private Practice" creator Shonda Rhimes.
