Fox, CBS share spoils in Mon. primetime

By Paul J. Gough

July 11, 2007, ET

NEW YORK -- Fox and CBS split victories in Monday night's primetime, with "Hell's Kitchen" and a repeat "Two and a Half Men" as the night's top shows.

Fox won in the adults 18-49 demographic thanks to "Hell's Kitchen" (7.3 million, 3.5 rating/10 share in adults 18-49), according to preliminary estimates released Tuesday by Nielsen Media Research. "Men" (8.4 million, 2.6/7) in the same hour was the top show in viewership for the night.

Fox's margin of victory would have been greater in adults 18-49 if it weren't for "On the Lot" (2.5 million, 1.1/3), which came in fourth place in the 8 p.m. hour against repeats.

The 10 p.m. hour was won in the demo by "Dateline NBC" (7.2 million, 2.3/6) and in viewership by "CSI: Miami" (7.9 million, 2.3/6).

Monday averages: CBS (7.2 million, 2.2/6); NBC (5.2 million, 1.9/5); ABC (5 million, 1.9/6); Fox (4.9 million, 2.3/7); and the CW (1.6 million, 0.7/2).
