Aubrey Plaza to co-star in Amy Poehler series

Actress also lands role in 'Scott Pilgrim' film

Upright Citizens Brigade player Aubrey Plaza has landed a co-starring role opposite UCB alumna Amy Poehler on NBC's upcoming comedy series starring Poehler.

Plaza also has been cast in the Universal comedy feature "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" opposite Michael Cera.

NBC's untitled Poehler project, from "The Office" masterminds Greg Daniels and Mike Schur, is set in the office of Amy (Poehler), deputy chairman of the department of parks and recreations in Pawnee, Ind. Plaza will play April, an intern who shadows her.

In "Pilgrim," she will play Julie, a record store employee. The actress, who is shooting Judd Apatow's "Funny People," will next be seen in "Mystery Team," which premieres at Sundance.

She is repped by CAA and 3 Arts.
