ABC News gives details about Palin interview

NEW YORK -- ABC News has fleshed out more details about the two days of interviews that Charles Gibson has scheduled with vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

Gibson left Wednesday for Alaska, where he will interview Palin over those two days in her hometown of Wasilla as well as Fairbanks. It will be Palin's first media interviews after she was picked to be John McCain's running mate.

Portions of the interview will appear beginning on Thursday's "World News with Charles Gibson" and "Nightline" and then on other network shows. The network will also air a special "20/20" at 10 p.m. Friday devoted to the interview.

There will be extended portions of the interview on that "20/20" as well as reporting on her personal and professional background from ABC News correspondent Kate Snow and a live roundtable discussion moderated by George Stephanopoulos.
