Paula Abdul has signed with APA. The agency will work with her on
developing multigenerational, international lifestyle branding
opportunities. Abdul, who is in her sixth season as a judge on
Fox's hit series "American Idol," has shared in the four Emmy
nominations that the show has received for best reality competition
program. The singer-dancer-choreographer started her career as a
Los Angeles Laker Girl and choreographer for the squad. She went on
to choreograph videos for such artists as the Jacksons, Janet
Jackson and Duran Duran, among many others, and won two Emmys for
choreography for Fox's late-1980s series "The Tracey Ullman Show."
In the early 1990s, she made a name for herself in the music world
with her debut album, "Forever Your Girl," followed by such albums
as "Spellbound" and "Head Over Heels." Her video for the song
"Opposites Attract" won a Grammy for shortform music video in 1991.
