Sci Fi sees 'Jane' run out
August 15, 2007 Sci Fi Channel is pulling the plug on "Painkiller Jane." Based on the comic book of the same name, "Jane" centers on top DEA agent Jane Vasco (Loken), a woman with regenerative powers who joins a covert government agency that hunts down "neuros," people with neurological powers. The cancellation of "Jane" comes on the heels of the strong Friday premiere of another Sci Fi series based on a comic strip, "Flash Gordon," which scored the channel’s best series premiere numbers this year.
