'Cleveland' gets extended Season 2

Adds nine episodes to 13 slated to premiere next fall

"The Cleveland Show" is getting a back-nine order.

Normally with a first-year show that would be an order for this season, but since "Cleveland" already has a full freshman-season order as well as a 13-episode order for next fall, the extra episodes will complete the animated show's second season.

"Family Guy" spinoff "Cleveland," which has been a standout ratings performer this fall, was originally slated to premiere last midseason.

The network pushed the launch to fall but, happy with the show's direction, preemptively ordered a 13-episode second season back in May as animated series take much longer to produce.
