'Cash Cab' steers toward syndication

MGM acquires broadcast rights to Discovery's game show

Discovery Channel's "Cash Cab" is heading to broadcast television.

MGM Domestic Television has acquired the U.S. broadcast syndication rights to the game show for a fall 2010 launch.

The series, produced by Lion TV, features host Ben Bailey behind the wheel of a New York taxi, where he quizzes unsuspecting passengers.

Discovery Channel's "Cash Cab" is heading to broadcast television.
