Joan Rivers returns to E!

Hosting 'Fashion Police' awards specials

By James Hibberd

Joan Rivers is returning to E!

Rivers will host "Fashion Police" red-carpet specials tied to major awards events in 2010. She'll be joined by fellow E! personalities Khloe Kardashian Odom, Giuliana Rancic and Jay Manuel. Rivers' daughter Melissa will have a producer credit.

Her coverage will debut Monday, Jan. 18, for a Golden Globes special, and then a SAG Awards special on Jan. 24. The new shows differ from Rivers' previous coverage for the network, running the day after events rather than airing live from the red carpet.

"Joan is a true entertainment icon and one of the funniest people in Hollywood," said Lisa Berger, E!'s executive vp of entertainment programming. "We are extremely excited to have her back at E!"

Joan and Melissa Rivers left the network for TV Guide Channel in 2005 following a salary dispute.
