RAI commits to high-definition Olympics

ROME -- Italian broadcaster RAI said it will use the newest generation of high-definition televisions to broadcast the summer Olympics from Beijing, making the event the largest sports broadcast to be aired entirely in high-definition in Italy.

Only the final two rounds of the 2006 soccer World Cup -- which Italy won -- were aired in high-definition.
