PARIS -- French pay TV group Canal Plus boasted strong performances
for its thematic channels and a 2.8% jump to a 40.5% audience share
for its cable package Canalsat over the year, the company said
Tuesday.
Canal Plus' sports networks, Sport Plus and Infosport, increased their audience shares to 0.4% and 0.6%, respectively, with Sport Plus reclaiming its second-place title among sports-based cable networks in the territory. Movie channel CineCinema saw a 0.3% jump in viewers over the year, taking an audience share of 2.2%. Canal Plus' "Discovery" offer, which includes Planete Justice, Planete Thalassa and Planete No Limit, took a 0.9% market share.
