Malisa Scott joins Tandem as COO

COLOGNE, Germany -- Malisa Scott, longtime managing director at Sony Pictures Home Entertainment in Germany, has joined Munich-based boutique production/sales operation Tandem Communications as COO.

Scott also will be a partner in Tandem, together with founders Rola Bauer, Tim Halkin and Jonas Bauer. The company celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.

"Over the past 10 years we have been building a strong foundation for the future," Tandem managing director Rola Bauer said. "I am confident that with the addition of Malisa's talents, we will be taking Tandem to the next level."

Scott joins Tandem as the company takes one of its biggest productions: the $40 million, eight-hour TV adaptation of Ken Follett's best-seller "The Pillars of the Earth." The limited series, which stars Ian McShane, Matthew Macfadyen, Rufus Sewell and Hayley Atwell, is now shooting in Hungary.
