TORONTO -- The homegrown police drama "Flashpoint" continues to fire for CTV.

The Canadian broadcaster on Monday said "Flashpoint," which airs on CBS stateside, earned a record 1.88 million total viewers Friday at 10 p.m., opposite "Numbers" on rival Global Television, which drew 678,000 total viewers, according to BBM Nielsen Media Research data.

CTV, Canada's primetime ratings leader, also drew a record audience for its season premiere of "Grey's Anatomy," where 3.3 million viewers tuned in for the two-hour installment from 9 p.m. last Thursday.

Also delivering its best-ever ratings was ABC's "Criminal Minds," whose latest season opened on CTV with 2.97 million total viewers at 9 p.m. last Wednesday night.

Less successful opposite "Grey's Anatomy" was Fox's "Fringe" on the secondary A network on Thursday night. The J.J. Abrams-created drama, which shoots in Vancouver, drew 877,000 total Canadian viewers, just ahead of the 762,000 total viewers that tuned into NBC's "The Office" on Global Television.

Also on A Thursday at 8 p.m., the ABC series "FlashForward" had a good start with 725,000 total viewers.
