COLOGNE, Germany -- German actress and comedian Anke Engelke will
host the 22nd European Film Awards on Dec. 12 in Bochum, Germany.
Engelke, one of Germany's best-known TV stars, was the host of the opening and closing ceremonies for the Berlin International Film Festival from 2003-2005 where she dazzled with her bilingual ad-hoc comedy routines. Also performing at the EFA ceremony will be British experimental rock band Bauhaus. German public broadcaster ZDF and French/German network ARTE will be carrying the ceremony, European cinema's top honors. The show will be broadcast in 44 countries worldwide.
