TORONTO -- California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is to carry the Olympic torch Friday morning on a final relay before the opening ceremony for the Vancouver Games.

Olympic organizers said Schwarzenegger will help carry the torch around Stanley Park before handing it off just after 7 a.m. to two-time British Olympic gold medalist Sebastian Coe, who is also chairman of the London 2012 organizing committee.

Other torchbearers set to feature Friday in Vancouver include Rolly Fox, father of Canadian long-distance runner and cancer hero Terry Fox, Walte Gretzky, father of NHL star Wayne Gretzky, and Dimitry Chernyshenko, president of the Sochi organizing committee for the 2014 Olympic Games.

Security will be high Friday in Vancouver as protests over the scale and cost of the 2010 Olympic Games are planned.
